This page will be to discuss the prospect of keeping animals for meat and the process that goes into this part of our homestead. We are looking at several types of animals to fit our families carnivorous appetite. So far, we are planning on chickens and ducks and possibly other birds, also goats and sheep plus possibly a cow and a pig. This will all depend on the costs associated of course and also will probably something we do by rotating types of animals for butchering over different time frames.
